Scott Grayson (Head Coach/ Owner, Programmer, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer., Athlete coaching hours exceeding 10,000 hours, Kettlebell Certified, Olympic Lift Certified, Gymnastics Certified, Attendee Rudy Nielsen's Outlaw Training Camp, CrossFit Judges Course 2012,2013,2014,2015)- Introduced to CrossFit in 2009. Ex-military (ARMY), Scott hails from Slidell, LA, a suburb of New Orleans. The Voodoo script is Scott's imprint on the 512 area code of Austin TX. Scott's dream was to set up shop here in Austin and build a monster team!
Casey Connor (Coach/ Strength Programmer-CrossFit Level 1 Trainer., U.S.A. Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, Attendee Rudy Nielsen's Outlaw Training Camp). Casey's specialty is the bar, hands down. He practiced weightlifting at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida, and placed 5th at the 1998 Junior Nationals in Savannah GA. Casey was also a Collegiate Rower at Florida Tech. Casey has been a staple here at the Voodoo Box and we are very happy to have him on board!
Aaron Williams (Level 1 Trainer, Gymnastics Cert, Coaching of athletes exceeding 3000 hours)- Aaron has a background in football and competitive CrossFit coaching. He has followed the Outlaw Way programming since the 2013 Open and posts to The Outlaw Way daily. You can find his name as Randall Williams in either the first or second place daily. Aaron has taken first place spots in local competitions including The Athlete Open and the 3 day event, The Catalyst Games.
April Covington (Level 1 Trainer, Coaching of Athletes exceed 3000 hours) April has a background in competitive volleyball and swimming in which she placed top in district in the 100m butterfly. She is an experienced runner and has completed over a dozen races and a triathlon. She has been CrossFitting for 3 years and has competed in various local CrossFit style competitions in indidual and team events. She has a BA and MA in Communication from Texas Tech.
Katy Pyle (Crossfit Level 1 Trainer) has a background in soccer and rock climbing. Katy was introduced to Crossfit in 2012 and has never looked back. She was hooked after the first WOD and knew that this would be a life long journey. Katy has a BA in Psychology and believes that Crossfit is not only great for the body, but great for the mind. Katy's professional background, specifically working with survivors of traumatic events, offers a unique perspective on how fitness can help people cope with difficult events in their lives. Katy's goal is to help build one heck of a dream team at Voodoo Crossfit by helping members reach their unique goals
